We would like to introduce you to your PPU with #MeetTheCommittee

Next up we have.. Anna Whitaker Class of 2013

Anna has been on Committee for nearly 2 years, originally finding the position through a PPU recruitment post on LinkedIn. Her role is Social Media Strategist. This involves running 4 online platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram & Twitter - please check them out below!), but also thinking of new ways to encourage past pupils to actively engage and participate with the PPU. Examples include #HumansOfMuckross & #MeetTheCommittee

Highlights being on the PPU Committee: ''Helping to facilitate connections between past pupils through our virtual platforms. I have really loved managing the Humans of Muckross and of course, meeting so many Muckross women from all walks of life.''

Anna is currently studying Medicine as a mature student at the Royal College of Surgeons (RCSI) in Dublin. She is the incoming RCSI Students' Union Welfare Officer for 2020/2021. Anna also works part-time alongside her studies, as a childminder and in a pharmacy / methadone dispensary.

Favourite Muckross memories: ''I have so so many. Top of the list has to be the end of the Mocks party we had in 6th year. We had a DJ (courtesy of fellow committee member Ella's younger brother!) and disco lights. We had a casual afternoon rave in our uniforms with some of the teachers. Mosh-pit, dance-off circles, and hockey chants all in the canteen. It really felt like we were reliving our Wezz days featuring a very reluctant Ms. Cooney.''
